HOW TO MEASURE

Measuring blinds and shades can be a simple process if you follow a few basic steps:

  1. Measure the width: Measure the width of the inside of the window frame from left to right. Make sure to measure at the top, middle, and bottom of the window frame, and use the smallest measurement as the width.

  2. Measure the length: Measure the length of the inside of the window frame from top to bottom. Again, measure at the left, middle, and right sides of the window frame, and use the smallest measurement as the length.

  3. Determine the mount: Decide whether you want your blinds or shades to be mounted inside or outside the window frame. If you're mounting inside the frame, the manufacturer will subtract 1/8 to 1/4 inch from your width measurement to allow for clearance.

  4. Measure the depth: Measure the depth of the window frame to make sure you have enough space to install your blinds or shades. If the depth is less than the minimum depth requirement for your chosen product, you may need to choose a different product.

  5. Check for obstructions: Check for any obstructions such as handles or locks that may interfere with the installation or operation of your blinds or shades.

Overall, it's important to be as precise as possible when measuring your blinds and shades to ensure a proper fit and a clean look.
